A traditional advertising company in Pittsburgh, IdeaMill, creates some compelling advertisements. I really enjoy their work. Especially their billboards.
The image above is a billboard they created for a local fitness club, X Shadyside. I think it’s fantastic work. At first glance the ad clearly targets men. We all know it’s so hard to find a guy that would rubber neck a billboard with a hot naked chick staring at them. It’s also obviously targeting women that want to be tone and naked in public. We all know it’s so hard to find… no, it really is.
IdeaMill also does a great job with a series of on-truck advertisements for The Paper Exchange. This company shreds documents in the greenest ways possible.
IdeaMill blogs right on their corporate site. I get the feeling that they hold few restrictions on their blog. So if you need some traditional advertising maybe you should check out IdeaMill. They’ll do something creative with what you have. If you don’t, take a page from Ryan Carson and spend some time learning about other business models.
